Neighborhood Drenova participates as a partner in the project Topoteka Rijeka: Open Days of Remembrance
Events named Topoteka Rijeka - Open Days of Remembrance 20.4.-9.5.2020. aim to develop the culture of remembrance in the city of Rijeka through the organization of on-site ‘Citizen Science’ collection of audio-visual material and data on the history and culture of Rijeka and the representation of collected and marked content through digital installations and presentations supported by a multimedia platform published on the website rijeka.topoteka.net. Topoteka is a digital platform that easily enables the digitization and publication of various historical sources (photos, documents, prints, AV records) and the use of interactive IT tools for their description, presentation and search. Open Days of Remembrance 20.4.-9.5.2020. will organize community cooperation on building their own local archive through numerous activities deepening the feelings for the protection of archival material, the availability of private archives, active connection of heritage and educational institutions, archives, museums, libraries, schools, historical, cultural and local associations, including all citizens in the preservation and promotion of cultural memory and tradition.
Through the central common portal Topoteka the material of all locals is also published on Europeana https://www.europeana.eu It is also expected to be included in the latest European programme for the digitisation of the cultural past in the future. Time Machine https://timemachine.eu/.
The project leader is Laboratory for Cultural Complexity Research, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Rijeka, and in addition to the Drenova Regional Museum, partners are ICARUS Croatia, Memoryscapes – Time Capsules.

Organizing on-site collection of testimonies at a number of locations in Rijeka, including the University, museums, libraries, associations of minority communities, arranged places in public spaces on Korzo and of course Drenova Local Museum !
28.4-7.5.2020 Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka
Data processing at the Cultural Complexity Research Laboratory. Content tagging in accordance with the general programming guidelines (water, work, migration).
05/05/2020 Hackathon at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka
As part of the program, a hackathon will be organized Topoteka-Rijeka: Hacking memory with the aim of integrating data about Rijeka from various digital data sources. Numerous resources on the Internet by networking into a unique database will allow insight into the memories of the community and the possibility of a more complete reconstruction of history. The call for the hackathon will be published on social networks, daily portals and institutional information channels with the aim of attracting interested citizens, students of socio-humanistic and information sciences.
