“Drunk Street" is the third film in this cycle.
Drunken is a small, unsightly, almost invisible alley in the very center of Rijeka. It is easy to bypass it because it is a mistake in urban tissue, more a passage than a street, but by all characteristics it is mostly a square. Lawyers and fishermen, active culturalists and retired football players, old Fiumans and newcomers from Rijeka, alcoholics and young children mix here. There is lively, everything bursting with laughter, music, quarrels, trading, songs, from early morning to late evening. This street is the taste of that hidden Mediterranean spirit in Rijeka, live energy, strong emotions, great contrasts condensed in a narrow space from some other times. It is equally recognized by its natives as well as the new urban generation that leaves its own trace in space, gradually gentrifying it.

In cooperation with Filmaktiv, and as part of the Gyroscope program, we screen selected documentaries on Saturdays.
The second film in the program is an omnibus. Kartoline.
The maps consist of 12 pseudo-documentary, five-minute vignettes about small Croatian towns where residents speak strong dialects or foreign languages, and were directed by authors motivated by unconventional patriotism. The film contains episodes about Momjan, Gornja Stubica, Tounj, Vrboska, Ždal, Susak, Prezid, Bol, Šušnjevica, Štrigova, Blato and Lokve.
